As of December 3rd, Daqing Oilfield, the world's largest research and production base for tertiary oil recovery, has achieved a tertiary oil recovery output of over 10 million tons in 2025, maintaining an output of over 10 million tons for 24 consecutive years, with a cumulative output of 330 million tons, reaching a new peak in production. Tertiary oil recovery involves injecting chemical substances into oil layers to improve the performance of oil, gas, water, and rock interactions, thereby extracting more crude oil from rock pores. After several generations of hard work, Daqing Oilfield has developed its tertiary oil recovery technology from scratch, from following to leading, and has maintained a world-leading position. It has become the dominant development technology supporting the high-quality development of Daqing Oilfield. In 2025, the oilfield's development system focused on handling three major tasks, aiming to increase the recovery rate by one percentage point, adhering to the concept of "balancing effect and benefit, and integrating technology and management", and vigorously implementing precise regulation throughout the life cycle to achieve dual improvements in development effect and output.
In the development of new blocks, the oilfield promotes high-quality injection agents, adopts an integrated project team management model, emphasizes the control of key links, and orderly advances injection and production adjustment, water drive plugging, and ground construction before injection. After injection, it strictly implements the plan and improves injection quality to achieve early injection, early effect, and more oil production. For the blocks under positive injection, it deepens precise regulation, conducts monthly effect evaluations, comprehensively identifies shortcomings, and guides rectification. It focuses on the management of 25 blocks in the water cut decline and stable stages, implementing 26,000 well adjustments and potential tapping measures annually, raising the block quality rate to 90.6%. In the subsequent water drive blocks, it adheres to the "three drive" balance, with "precise potential tapping and scale maintenance" as the core, promotes the application of the development potential evaluation system, and emphasizes precise injection and production adjustment and production management, implementing 2,644 well control and reduction measures annually. In the chemical drive injection, it strengthens the integrated control of the upstream and downstream of the preparation station, injection station, and injection well, implements "three fixed" management of standards, measures, and cycles, and implements 66,000 measures such as flushing, washing, separation, and repair annually, ensuring that the quality of the injection system reaches over 99%, effectively controlling the "volume, concentration, and viscosity" throughout the process.
